Wind & rain wont stop her!

I moved to Panama City in the Summer of 2010, but I have lived in the Panhandle since 1987 (Fort Walton Beach and Destin). I have always enjoyed fishing mainly freshwater until moving to Florida. Once I had a taste of the "Salt Life" it was on! I was first introduced to Kayak Fishing soon after moving to Panama City. It didn't take me long to get addicted. I got a sweet deal on a good used kayak and jazzed it up for my fishing gear.
Any kind of fish that is biting is my favorite fish to catch! Right now that would be the mighty Red Fish. One of my favorite places to fish is out at Burnt Mill Creek, for a few reasons, one being the beauty of the area, the ease of launching the yak, and the nice long paddle to my favorite spot. I landed a nice slot Red there a few weeks ago. In my excitement I ended up with a rat's nest around my reel and had to pull the Red in hand-over-hand! What a day!
Crooked Island is probably my favorite place to kayak and fish by far. There is always something biting out there not to mention the beautiful sunrises and sunsets and all the wildlife. The one fish I want to catch from the kayak is a Tarpon.....one day.
